Maria has been in her current role for over 16 years. She previously worked as a social worker for Ynys Môn’s Children’s Service and is passionate about supporting vulnerable children and families. 

Maria has dedicated her time in Action for Children to raising awareness of young carers and the difficulties they experience and ensuring that the voices of children and young people are being heard and help shape and develop services. The innovative work that Maria and her colleagues from across Ynys Môn and Gwynedd have done in introducing technology into social care was nominated for a Social Care Accolade Award this year.
