We’re delighted to announce that former Director of Public Health for Wiltshire and now current Deputy Director for Population Health and Well-being at Public Health England, Tracy Daszkiewicz will be closing out this year’s Conference, in an interview conducted by The Guardian’s David Brindle.
As leader for public health during one of the biggest pre-Covid public health crises of recent years – the Novichok poisoning of Sergei and Yulia Skripal in Salisbury in 2018 – Tracy was pivotal in the response to the crises, which drew in multiple agencies working around the clock to minimise harm and safeguard public health.
Tracy will discuss her personal experience of managing a public health crisis, the lessons learned as well as the positives to come out of working under such difficult circumstances – issues that will no doubt feel familiar to the social care workforce in Wales at this current time.
We look forward to welcoming Tracy to the conference, and to hearing about her experiences.
