We’re pleased to confirm that Junior Smart, founder of the Southwark Offenders Support (SOS) project, will be speaking at this year’s National Social Care Conference, #NSCC19.
SOS is a multiple award-winning service run through the Giles Trust in Camberwell, which offers intensive support to vulnerable young people and carries out preventative work with those at risk. The service works with young people exposed to or at risk of violence, vulnerability and exploitation. The work encompasses gangs work and family support as well as child exploitation and human trafficking.
Junior Smart describes himself as an ‘Ex-offender, Gangs worker, Youth Leader, Trainer, Academic, Social entrepreneur, Public Speaker, Innovator’ who is motivated to turn young criminals and gang members away from crime and prevent repeat offending.
We look forward to welcoming Junior to this year’s conference.
